Our Priests
Monsignor Paul Cook, Pastor

Pastor of St. Joseph’s since 1977, I recently celebrated my fiftieth anniversary as a priest. I am a Baltimore, Maryland native and a graduate of St. Charles College of Catonsville. I graduated from Catholic University in Washington, D.C., and Loyola University of Chicago and hold Master’s degrees both in philosophy and in religious education. I also hold a licentiate in theology. As the Pastor, I carry responsibility for parish ministry, the supervision of all staff members, the overall administration of both the parish and school, and I receive the recommendations of the Parish Council and our Finance Committee.

Our Deacons

I founded RDA Corporation, a computer software development and consulting firm, in 1988. I retired in 2006 to pursue a vocation in ministry. I was ordained to the Order of Deacon on May 14, 2011 by Archbishop O’Brien to serve the Archdiocese of Baltimore, assigned to St. Joseph Parish in Cockeysville, MD. I served my institutional internship at Stella Maris, and my pastoral internship at the Catholic Community of St. Francis Xavier. Since being assigned to St. Joseph's, I coordinate the parish Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) program, as well as assist in various liturgical capacities. I also conduct a Bible study at the Towson Detention Center, and visit the Rehab ward at Stella Maris.
I have been married since 1981, and my wife Kathy and I have one daughter Beth, a 2010 graduate of Villanova University.
Mr. Ed Sullivan, Deacon

I am a native of Boston, a 1958 graduate of MIT, and a lifelong Red Sox fan. After a 30 year career at Bethlehem Steel’s Sparrows Point Plant, I decided to shift gears and was ordained a deacon in 1996 and assigned to St. Joseph’s where I and my family have been parishioners since 1972. Along with my wife, Kathy, we have been Marriage Preparation moderators since 1975 and I now direct the parish program. I am, also, an advocate-procurator for the Tribunal, assisting those seeking annulments.

I am the Chief of Operations at St. Joseph Parish. I supervise the office and maintenance staff, and make sure that the parish facilities and grounds are safe and effective. A parishioner for over thirty years, I, and my wife Connie, are residents of Parkton, Maryland. Prior to joining the staff, I owned and operated H&H Testing, a professional electrical testing and acceptance firm.

As a native of Baltimore I benefited from wonderful educational experiences at Seton High, St.Joseph College, Emmitsburg and Loyola University. After thirty-nine years as an educator in the Archdiocese of Baltimore, I retired from my position with the Division of Catholic Schools. I am now working two days a week with the parish staff as Administrative Assistant for Special Projects. In a very short time I have come to appreciate the spirit of dedication of the staff and the generosity of the parishioners.

I am a native of Buffalo, New York, and have lived in the Timonium area and have been a parishioner of St. Joseph Parish since 1973. I have a Bachelors degree in Nursing from Towson University and have been working as a Registered Nurse since 1976. Presently, I am attending graduate courses at St. Mary’s Seminary Ecumenical Institute of Theology. I have been involved in many different ministries within the parish, especially Children and Youth ministries. As the Pastoral Associate for Health Ministry/Parish Nurse, I coordinate the current health ministry programs and hope to expand the programs and projects to include the holistic health approach, in order to meet the body, mind and spiritual needs of the parishioners.

A Cockeysville native, I have served on the parish staff since 1999. I am a graduate of Loyola High school, and hold a BA in Business from the Sellinger school at Loyola University Maryland and a Masters' of Arts in Nonprofit Management from the College of Notre Dame. I am currently working on a Masters of Arts in Theology at St. Mary's Seminary. I have authored two books having to do with technology and non-profit organizations.
I am highly collaborative. I see much of my role here as a story-teller, and a weaver of people. Through my ministry, I want to reach out to our parish through media, and communications technology. I love to open new doors for our parishioners and for those who may want to more fully experience their faith, and to search for ways to strengthen our parish through sharing, better education, community outreach, and opportunities for fellowship.
Sr. Rose Lindner, SSND, Social Ministries

I am a native of Washington, DC, and am the Pastoral Associate here at St. Joseph Parish. My specific responsibilities are in the parish Outreach program of Social Action, as well as general pastoral duties. I received my bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph College and a Masters in Counseling from Trinity College. Before coming to St. Joseph, I was the Coordinator of Parish Social Ministry at St. Bernadette’s Parish in Severn, MD.

I am a native of Harrisburg, PA, but am not a stranger to Baltimore. Receiving my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland, I taught at St. Charles School in Pikesville. After studying for my Master’s degree in Liturgical Studies at Catholic University, I taught religion at Seton High School and was the religion department chairperson at Seton-Keough High School. My most recent position was as the Director of Religious Education at Ss Peter and Paul Church in West Virginia. I am currently the Director of Religious Education for the parish.

I am a native of Philadelphia, PA. I graduated from the University of Scranton with a Bachelor’s in English and Communications. After graduating, I travelled to Mexico City to serve as a Youth Minister at an orphanage for girls from the street. There, I formed lasting friendships and a love for Mexican culture and the Spanish language. I returned and worked as a high school Spanish teacher at Freire Charter School in Philadelphia. Now, I am the coordinator of Youth and Young Adult Ministry at St. Joseph Parish.

The Music Ministry

I have been teaching in the Archdiocese of Baltimore for 33 years, the last 23 years has been at The Catholic High School of Baltimore. I received my formal training in music and drama at Towson University and Morgan State University. I have taught vocal music, music history, history of jazz, musical theatre, music theory, piano class, speech, drama, world art, technology and directed, music directed and conducted many musical in the Baltimore area. I have also been the Artistic Director for the Celebration of the Arts hosted by the Archdiocese of Baltimore-Division of Schools for the last six years. I have been Director of Music at the Basilica of the Assumption and for the last 25 years at St. Joseph. During this time the music ministry at St. Joseph has almost tripled in size.

I have been a registered member of St. Joseph’s Parish since 1981. My children graduated from the school, and my late husband is buried here. I am a Eucharist Minister, a member of the Health Ministry Committee and the Environment Committee.
I have been gainfully employed at St. Joseph’s Parish for the past six years as a receptionist in the Parish Office. In greeting all persons, I try to live out the Mission Statement of St. Joseph Parish: Joyfully Welcoming Christ in Everyone.

I have been working in the Archdiocese for thirty years. For over fourteen years, I have been part of the St. Joseph family. The office is a busy place every day of the year; parishioners come looking for help, and for information. I am responsible for making certain that this information is timely and accurate. I maintain our files, and ensure that our electronic database is accurate and complete. I am also responsible for recording all of the parish offertory collections, including the regular and special collections which happen each weekend, and I am the person responsible for coordinating our Christmas and Easter mailings, as well as special mailings.Additionally, I keep the records about all of the sacramental and census information about our parish families, such as confirmations, baptisms, weddings, and funerals.
Every day, I feel that I make St. Joe's a better place. I love working with the people on our parish staff on many different projects, communicating with the staffs of other area parishes, and the Archdiocese.
