FAMILY CATECHESIS

The parish approach to Family Catechesis is connected to the way 'FAMILY" is perceived here at St. Joseph 's Community. Family Catechesis looks at the family from a very broad perspective as a household of people attempting to grow in faith through their shared experiences, worship, and religious education.

The household approach is important because of the various kinds of families found in society today: all adults, traditional, three generational, stepparent, single parent, guardianship, blended families due to adoption, death, remarriage, etc.

Our aim is to meet some of the spiritual needs of families and to provide a Catholic atmosphere by utilizing group discussions, arts and crafts, projects, scripture and guest speakers.

IF . . . YOU ARE INTERESTED in taking over the spiritual growth and religious education of your household with help from other families and the Family Catechesis Team as a resource...

IF . . . YOU ARE INTERESTED in meeting for one hour and a half on the first Sunday of each month with other families for presentations, sharings and activities...

IF . . . YOU ARE INTERESTED in sharing your faith, exploring the Bible or updating your Catholicism...

. . .then consider registering

                 for Family Catechesis
