Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are days of fasting and abstinence. Catholics in good health, aged 18 to 60 years, are to eat only one full meal, and are to abstain from eating meat. Each Friday of Lent is a day of Abstinence. Catholics in good health, aged 14 or more years, are not to eat meat on Fridays during Lent.
